Default good idea

From DLoftus, presently posted a few steps up on the current page:

Here?s a quick hypothetical: Imagine I start a thread and call it, oh, I dunno? say ?Hey, What?s Up? Only Interesting Posts Welcome?? and then begin filling it with personal rambling thoughts and random notions, interspersed with clips and excerpts from irreligious websites; maybe some exit stories from exmormon.com or Mo Temple expos?s. How many micro-seconds do you suppose THAT thread would survive?

TRY IT

FAIR'S FAIR IN MY BOOK.

It'll get demoted, babe, as soon as Mr. DLoftus deletes the 7 posts he's got in here.

How have you been today, babe? Got the cows fed and milked, and the hogs slopped, and the pretty little daughters fed and ready for sleepy-time? Whatever happened to ''Man works from sun to sun; woman's work is never done''? That's a quote, folks, not a statement that I am a sexist!

Default Travelling on... 8 June

Leaving Los Angeles, California, after spending the night... we head North on US 101.

There is heavy cloud cover, the sea is flat and greyish, and despite the Spring season there is a chill in the air.

It is interesting to note that "Valley of Smoke" is the meaning of the name given by the Chumash tribe of Native Americans for the area now known as Los Angeles, named such because of the smoke from campfires settling there through atmospheric inversion, accelerated by the lack of rainfall... which averages only 15 inches a year.

The railroad line runs close by the roadway, without a fence or safety barriers... we have seen this dangerous situation in many US towns and cities, and this should be corrected.

On the approaches previous to Rincon, vegetated sand dunes, closeby the roadway, are thick, squat, and uninspiring.

We stop at the headland before Rincon... hawks soar in the air currents and updraft, and many crows gather on the bare ground. (C) 8 June, 2009.

You just don?t seem to have the wherewithal (the balls) to react by breaking away from a faith-based lifestyle that is tormenting you. I can?t tell you how or where to find happiness?I can tell you that you won?t find it chasing after the delusions of the megalomaniacal Joseph Smith. As long as one hangs on to the hope that something they sense is false might eventually be proven true, they?re headed for, if not already deeply immersed in, an emotional and psychological disaster.

BTW, yes , even Solomon is a fictional/mythical character?as imaginary as Adam and Eve, Hera and Zeus, Lehi and Sariah, Ouranos and Pontus, Nephi and Laman, Osiris and Isis, Scarlett and Rhett, Yuri and Laura, Mork and Mindy, Rita and Wally, et. al.

Oh, and not that it really matters to anyone, but my ?pledge? was not allowing my post total to exceed the number of my TribTalk ?friends,? excluding posts locked in closed threads. Not that you would ever stoop to spreading half-truths?oh no, heaven forbid! Hmmm, half-truths?sort of the story of your wretched life, huh?

No, your darlin? Janadele has been shown more latitude than anyone I?ve ever seen on TribTalk, save maybe Jason, Smelly and girlfriend Marath. I had always been under the impression that threads were supposed to be specific and have a somewhat timely topic, but since turning a blind eye to the ?Guinness? thread?s unfortunate proliferation, seems the creation of any non-specific malignantly cancerous thread is allowed, as long as you?re a member of the L. G. rat pack, that is.
Another rehash. The broken record is wearing out the phonograph needle, DL.

''Los Angeles'' is Espanol for ''the angels''.

No use putting barricades of any kind between roadways and railroads ~~ the trains, upon derailing, will plow thru anything except maybe a whole mountain.

Default continued 8 June...

As the sun emerges from its retreat behind the clouds, the vista becomes more interesting... and with flowering shrubs and spring flowers, the country side is more pleasant at Summerland and Santa Barbara.

The land however is dry, and not fertile in the areas where there is no cultivation... and the natural vegetation is dry. Stock do well on dry feed, with fewer parasites. Lush green pasture is not always the best for them.

We have been following the "El Camino Real" ... an historic trail, marked by such sign, on an ancient bell post. (C) 8 June, 2008.

Perhaps so Leo, but an area of safety... plus a fence, is needed to assist in the prevention of foolish persons or stock wandering onto the rails... also, the area of safety, if kept cleared, is to stop the likelihood of combustion.
